Virtual tour of Astoria Pete Anderson Realty, Inc. was formed in July of 1975 when Peter A. Anderson purchased the assets of Hill Realty, Inc. and opened the first office on South Roosevelt Drive in Seaside, Oregon. The company was quick to become a leader in the Seaside market area. In 1976 it expanded to its first branch office in Astoria, Oregon. In 1977, the firm continued its program of planned growth and purchased the R.G. Braun Real Estate Company in Manzanita, Oregon With three busy coastal branch offices going and a policy of having only full time Real Estate Brokers, Pete Anderson Realty, Inc. earned the reputation of being a sales leader on the North Oregon Coast, as well as being known as one of the most professional real estate firms on the coast. In 1983, Pete Anderson Realty, Inc. acquired the assets of M. L. Schmidt Realty, Inc. in Tillamook County, Oregon and expanded from a three office operation to one of six offices: Seaside and Astoria in Clatsop County and Manzanita, Rockaway Beach, Tillamook and Pacific City in Tillamook County. In so doing, Pete Anderson Realty, Inc. became the largest Real Estate firm on the Oregon Coast and one of the largest in Oregon. On June 24th of 1985, the firm purchased the assets of Law Realty, Inc. in Astoria and moved into the building formerly occupied by that company, thus expanding our sales staff even further and making us, without a doubt, the largest volume real estate office in Astoria, Oregon. A big change occurred in February of 1990 when Pete Anderson Realty, Inc. became Pete Anderson Realty, Inc ., Better Homes and Gardens with our affiliation with the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Service, networking over 850 offices throughout the United States, thus allowing us to take full advantage of a great National image as well as our own well known local image. On June 15, 1990, the company, now Pete Anderson Realty, Inc./Better Homes and Gardens, acquired the assets of Seagull Realty, Inc. in Lincoln City, Oregon and moved into the building formerly occupied by that company, thus continuing our geographical growth, as well as the addition of several more full time Real Estate professionals to our growing sales staff. In 1995, the corporation was purchased by Dru Wilkinson and Cynthia Lee, both of whom are Real Estate Brokers and Principals in two other companies, The Preferred and Gibson Bowles, Inc., both of the Portland Metro area and both of which are Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Services franchisees. |

| Over the years, the firm has also expanded to include a real estate school, and an excellent "in-house" training program using the tools of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Service, as well as other live and video trainers. In early 2004 the decision was made not to migrate to the GMAC Real Estate Network who purchased the Better Homes and Gardens franchise. Instead Pete Anderson Realty, Inc. joined the Advantage Real Estate Network along with many brokerages throughout the United States. |
